Description

The main purpose of this contract is for the supply of statistical services to analyse statistical data and produce:1. annual monitoring report on the progress towards the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in an EU context;2. annual publication to support key EU policy initiatives;3. methodological assistance on indicators;4. development of tools for the automation of the production of the above publications;5. maintenance and operation of the automation tool.
The tender will cover maximum four periods of four years, each covered by a separate contract. The services to be purchased for the entire contract period are estimated to cover 2020 man-days.As detailed in Point 1.4.2.3 of the tender specifications, there are five tasks as follows:1. annual monitoring report on the progress towards the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in an EU context;2. annual publication to support key EU policy initiatives;3. methodological assistance on indicators;4. automation of information management and integration of data from the ESTAT dissemination database (referred to as Eurobase for the purposes of this call for tenders) in the production of publications on EU policy initiatives;5. maintenance and operation of the deliverables of the previous tasks (for the duration of the contract).The aims of these tasks are:Tasks 1 and 2: To draft publications in the series ‘Flagship publications’ for each year of the contract.Task 3: To provide assistance on the ongoing methodological work on indicators used to support the EU initiatives of high priority on the political agenda.Task 4: To support the information handling by integrating and adapting existing tools for the automation of the production of the main two ‘Flagship publications’ produced within the contract.Task 5: To modify where appropriate the integrated solution (designed under Task 4) after delivery, to correct faults, adapt to new requirements from the publications and improve efficiency, as well as to transfer know-how to the users in ESTAT.
