Description
The Zweckverband Personennahverkehr Saarland as the responsible authority for local public transport as a competent authority within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007 pursuant to Article 5(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007 in conjunction with Section 8a(1) PBefG shall award a service contract within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007 with a term from 13 December 2020 to 31 December 2025 in a competitive procedure. The transport service will be awarded in a competitive procedure according to the provisions of GWB and Vergabeverordnung (VgV). The service contract covers bus transport services (CPV code 60112000) in the following districts: Saarbrücken Regional Association (NUTS code DEC01) and Saarlouis District (NUTS code DEC04).
The RegioBus line R13 connects the Bisttal with the centre of Völklingen (Bisten - Überherrn - Friedrichweiler - Differten - Werbeln - Schaffhausen - Hostenbach - Völklingen/Saarbücken). At the station in Völklingen there is a connection to the Saar Railway. In addition, express buses connect the Bisttal valley directly via the 620 motorway to the state capital Saarbrücken, with a transport capacity of approx. 158,900 scheduled kilometres per standard year (250 working days, 52 Saturdays, 63 Sundays and public holidays).
