Description

The site for the proposed development is located in the town of Crossmolina off the main N59 Road, on The Boreen.
The proposed works will involve the demolition of 1no derelict shed and the construction of 3 no new dwelling units. The site is largely vacant and has been the subject of extensive enabling works involving the excavation and removal from site of Japansese Knotweed Rhizome root material. A membrane was fitted at the base of the excavation and the site was backfilled with stone which was compacted in layers back up to the original ground level. There is an existing stone boundary wall to the front of the site which will have to be modified to allow for stepped access up to the new dwellings. The dwellings have been raised c.1.0 metres above the footpath level as the centre of Crossmolina is prone to flooding.
Accommodation to be provided will include;
- 2no. Two story 2 bedroom 4 person townhouse
- 1no. One story 1 bed 2 person townhouse
The Townhouses will have secure rear garden area, screen / boundary walls and new utility connections - all in keeping with the original development.
Externally all new public utility connections to each unit will be provided.
