There are currently 35 listed network printers and MFD’s and 1 plotter operating in the NRH of which 32 are covered under 2 managed print contracts.The largest grouping is of 30 Xerox printers * MFD under contract with Supplier A, 2 Konica Minolta MFDs supplied under contract with Supplier B and 4 printers and 1 plotter which are not under contract.The current breakdown of models is below:— 4 * Xerox Phaser 3250 (Supplier A),— 1 * Xerox Phaser 3600 (Supplier A),— 7 * Xerox 6400 (Supplier A, *9 under contract),— 9 * Xerox 7435 (Supplier A),— 7 * Xerox 7535 (Supplier A),— 1 * Konica Minolta C454e (Supplier B),— 1 * Konica Minolta Bizhub C3351 (Supplier B),— 1 * HP DesignJet T520 24in (No Contract),— 1 * Brother DCP-9020CDCW (No Contract),— 1 * HP LJ P2015DN (No Contract),— 1 * HP LJ P2055x (No Contract).It is envisaged that over the next 12 months that up to 12 new MFDs will be required in for the proposed new development, in addition to what is currently in use.NRH commissioned a report into the print environment of the hospital. This report was commissioned to examine the current state of the print environment at the National Rehabilitation Hospital.As a result of this report it has been recommended to replace all current devices and systems and cover future device requirements under a new MPS contract.
