Description

The 420 MFPs are currently distributed over 73 buildings on the airport campus and up to 50 km at company subsidiaries in the surrounding area. All MFPs are integrated into the central printing system with a certified universal printer driver and are divided into four device types. Furthermore, the entire printing system is provided with the functionalities- "Follow-Me" (the possibility for the user to print print jobs on any device in the system (print jobs "follow" the user to any device) and- "Secure-Printing" (print jobs are sent to a printer, but only printed after the user has authenticated himself on the device). In addition to the MFPs, approximately 150 printers, which are subdivided into single workstation, network and home workstation printers depending on their use, are used and operated independently by Fraport. The systems classified as "Prio-1" at Fraport AG are core systems for airport operations. As a result, the infrastructure is designed to be highly redundant in order to avoid operational failures in the critical areas of the airport (e.g. apron). After the contract has been awarded, a test phase (hardware including the required "managed print" solution aspects) takes place in a selected building. After acceptance of this test phase, the contractor is responsible for the construction and installation of all MFPs at the airport. The rollout will take place gradually and parallel to the dismantling of the existing machines in order to ensure uninterrupted operation for Fraport. Planned quantities of multifunction printers:- Type class 1 Office Standard (color): approx. 400,00 pieces (leasing),- type class 2 Office High End (colour): approx. 5,00 pieces (leasing),- type class 3 Operational (B/W): approx. 18,00 pieces (leasing),- type class 4 Home and Campus (colour): approx. 300,00 pieces (purchase),- type class 5 Operational (B/W): approx. 20,00 pieces (leasing).
