United States - POLYCOM CODEC MAINTENANCE SUPPORT RENEWAL

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.  Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N66604-19-Q-1532.
 
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Code 1041 has a requirement for the media center facilities to provide classified and unclassified video teleconferencing (VTC) services at NUWCDIVNPT and Polycom HDX 7000 codecs, DMA 7000 gatekeepers, Group Systems 500 codecs, Group Systems 700 codecs, Gateways and associated hardware are the critical "engines" for VTC. A codec failure in any of the Medial Center (MC) facilities or overflow facilities will render that facility inoperable.  Due to the investment cost required, the DIVNPT does not own any spare codecs, gatekeepers or associated hardware that can be used in the event of failure.  This requirement is to retain Polycom certified third party technical phone support and receive next day Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts to be installed by the government to minimize facility downtime in the event of a failure. Code 1041 is required to renew the maintenance support on the Polycom Codec. The maintenance support period varies for each part depending on the original date of acquisition and shelf life
