Description

The subject of the contract is the implementation of tasks aimed at supporting the management of nature protection, including the inventory of values and identification of their threats affecting the maintenance of biodiversity and landscape in the Narew National Park. The implementation of the project will consist in the acquisition of remote sensing data and inventory of the state of natural resources and identification of existing threats on the basis of the acquired remote sensing data. The planned analyses will allow for the assessment and characterization of the state of ecosystems and their precise mapping, providing a reference base for monitoring of changes taking place in the nature of the Park and the effects of the implementation of protection tasks in the Park. The performance of these tasks requires the acquisition of a comprehensive set of source remote sensing data. They will be accompanied by field research and analytical work in the field of remote sensing analyses, geospatial analyses, botany, nature protection, phytosociology, hydrology, etc. Source data will be obtained from the air ceiling using the following techniques: aerial laser scanning, vertical images in the visible and near infrared range, hyperspectral and thermal images and diagonal images. Archival satellite imagery will also be acquired. On the basis of remote sensing data and accompanying ground reference measurements, raster and vector thematic layers and maps describing spatial distribution of analysed natural phenomena will be developed. Stage 1: Development of Detailed Work Plan - a document containing the methodology proposed by the Contractor, describing in detail: parameters and conditions for obtaining remote sensing data necessary to perform the analyses, assumptions for conducting field measurement campaigns, methods of performing individual analyses and parameters of the resulting products.Stage 2: Carrying out air raids aimed at obtaining airborne remote-sensing data and conducting field measurement campaigns, as well as acquiring archival remote-sensing data, acquiring and developing auxiliary data Stage 3: Carrying out analyses aimed at providing information on particular thematic issues. The source material for the analyses, depending on the thematic scope, are remote sensing data, field data, spatial information from national resources or from the resources of the Park.Stage 4: Developing a report from the performed analyses, as well as adapting the created products to the existing spatial information system functioning in the park and conducting training of park employees in the use of data and products created within the project, including displaying, browsing, searching, creating queries, basic spatial analysis or editing in GIS environment.
