Description

Parks Canada Agency has a requirement for construction services for the rehabilitation of the Upper West Embankments of the Peterborough Lift Lock 21 of the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW).
Elements of this construction project include (but not limited to):

Reconstruction/regrading of the Westside embankment;
Installation of new riprap on Westside embankments;
Installation of new sheet piles along the Westside of the crest;
Installation of stone drains;
Restoration of the crest near lockmaster building (concrete slab, unshrinkable fill, etc.)

Site Visit:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday September 25, 2019 at 11:00am (EDT) . Interested bidders are to meet at:

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered. Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.
Bid Security:
Is required. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 > $ 1,000,000, Taxes extra.
Delivery Date:
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by April 15, 2020.
