Italy - Municipal solid waste collection services

Description

The services covered by this contract relate to the award of the integrated management, transport and transfer of solid urban waste, assimilated waste and separate collection, urban sweeping and urban hygiene and complementary services, including the cost of disposal of solid urban waste and the special tax for depositing it in an RSU landfill (Article 3(24) to (40) of Law No 549/1995), as well as the management of the ecological island, from the time of its completion by the municipal administration on parcel 896 of sheet 12, located within the industrial area of Tito. The service is carried out with the activities indicated in the special tender specifications and in the attached documents and, in general, with the services listed below: a) collection, transport and disposal of solid urban waste and waste assimilated to urban waste, including the industrial area; b) manual or mechanical sweeping of waste from roads, pavements, squares, public areas, areas belonging to schools or, in any case, temporarily subject to public use, excluding the industrial area. Sweeping and/or cleaning means the removal of any type of waste, including mud or weeds grown spontaneously, which are formed in the gutters and on the sidewalks;c) emptying and cleaning of all disposable waste bins - paper, disposable - excrement, garment collection, collection of SPU, installed in the streets and gardens by the contractor and replacement of any disposable waste bags placed in the bins;d) collection, transport and disposal of solid urban and similar waste from the cleaning of markets (whether daily, weekly or monthly) as well as from the cleaning of fairs and also parties on public areas; e) periodic pressure washing (every thirty days), only in the period between 15 June and 30 August, of roads, pavements, paved public areas; f) road weeding on all roads subject to sweeping; g) cleaning of road bumps owned by the municipality;h) collection and disposal of products deriving from tree pruning (mowing) and cleaning of gardens belonging to areas of municipal property, as well as waste from cemeteries, schools and public buildings in general; i) collection and disposal of products deriving from tree pruning (mowing) and cleaning of gardens belonging to privately owned areas for a quantity of 180 t/year; l) provision of cleaning services for special occasions, civil, religious and cultural events in the urban areas concerned;(n) collection of cemetery waste including special waste; (o) collection and final disposal of syringes left on public land; (p) collection and disposal of illegally abandoned waste in public areas throughout the municipality, including bulky waste and WEEE, excluding hazardous, toxic and harmful waste and waste containing asbestos;(q) collection and disposal of bulky waste and WEEE, excluding hazardous, toxic and noxious waste and waste containing asbestos, on-call; (r) cleaning of parking spaces, in the municipal territory, along the S.P. n. 94 and the former S.S. n. 95 every 15 days in the period June - September, every month in the period October - May;s) collection of absorbent sanitary waste (nappies and diapers);t) collection of waste oils;u) snow shoveling in place of sweeping during the winter period and in case of need.The duration of the service under contract is established in 2 (two) years and 10 (ten) months, for a total of 34 months.
