Description
In Armenia, poverty is widespread, particularly in mountainous areas. The project aims at creating employment and income for several thousand persons by inducing inclusive, sustainable growth. The market system development approach shall be applied, addressing bottlenecks to make markets work sustainably better. This will be done mainly with private sector partners, but as well with the government to improve the framework in general and climate change policies in particular. The estimated duration of the whole project is about 10 years, starting with an inception phase (IP) from 01.12.2022 until 30.11.2023. The IP serves to deepen the analysis, carry out studies and pilot interventions. The main phase runs from 01.12.2023 until 30.11.2026. A second phase of another four years and an exit phase of two years will follow with a total estimated budget of CHF 12 million for ten years.
