Description

Kystverket (the Norwegian Coastal Administration) is preparing one deepening project in the Kragerø area. The area will also be re-marked with new sea markings. Implementation of the measure will increase the safety and accessibility to and from harbour facilities in the area. Increased safety is achieved by increasing vessel manoeuvring room and thereby increasing the safety margin by the fairway being broader, deeper and with fewer course adjustments. The purpose of this procurement is to verify that proposed measures in the fairway are sufficient for safe sailing with defined vessel types under given conditions.
The main route goes south-west of Wonderland through the area by Knubbhausen, and further past Strømtangen lighthouse. The route then turns north-east inn to Kragerø Port. The bi-lane from Kragerø to Hellefjorden passes Galeioddbåene and continues in a north-easterly direction. There are private quays located in the Valberg area for shipping of rock material. The bi-lane continues further through Lovisenberg Sound to the quay facilities in Hellefjorden. There are four areas that must be deepened, and where the seabed must be modelled for the deepening project's new harbour depths:— Jomfrulandsrevet: Width: 170 m, depth: 14.7 m;— Knubbhausen: Width: 152.5m, depth: 14.6m;— Galeioddbåane: Width: 150 m, depth: 11.8 m;— Lovisenberg Sound: Width: 104 m, depth: 9.4 m.IT is assumed that the tenderer simulates the deepening area of applicable depth and width, and that the deepening area and sea marking appears correctly in the used bridge simulator ECDIS map. The importance of the marking plan and the deepening areas being shown in ECDIS is emphasised. Sea markers must be simulated in accordance with the deepening project marking plan. In addition, the use of sector PEL will be simulated instead of alignment. The purpose of this procurement is to verify that proposed measures in the fairway are sufficient for safe sailing with defined vessel types under given conditions.
