Jamaica - Major building construction work

Description

You are invited to submit a bid for the Construction of the Houses of Parliament at the National Heroes Park in Kingston.

Bidding will be conducted using the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procurement methodology through the Government of Jamaica’s eProcurement (GOJEP) system.

The project site is the 52 acres National Heroes Park (NHP), located in Jamaica’s capital city of Kingston. It is a historic public urban park that honours Jamaica’s National Heroes, former Governor Generals, Prime Ministers and patriots. Monuments to the honorees are located within the “Shrine and Patriots Circle”.

The work will include but is not limited to:

- construction of the new Houses of Parliament building located on an 11.2 acre site within the park
- upgrading of the historic public urban park
- construction of support buildings, infrastructure upgrades and the redevelopment and landscaping of the NHP.

To bid, you will need to obtain and submit a valid Tax Compliance Certificate or Letter (TCC or TCL) and Public Procurement Commission (PPC) registration certificate before the contract is awarded. These documents are not required at the time of bid submission.

A bid security of around £149,388 is needed.

Bids submitted without a valid bid security will be automatically rejected.

There will be a site visit to the National Heroes Park at 1pm on 25 April 2022.
