terranets bw is an independent transport network operator for gas. The company has been operating a gas transport system in Baden-Württemberg since 1961. With its approximately 2,700 km long pipeline network, terranets bw ensures the non-discriminatory transport of gas from Lower Saxony to Lake Constance. terranets bw has been continuously expanding its transport network for 60 years, thus ensuring security of supply at the highest level. Many cities and municipalities in Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, as well as parts of Bavaria and Switzerland, Vorarlberg, and the Principality of Liechtenstein, are now connected to the terranets bw pipeline network.To fulfill this task, tnbw operates a total of seven compressor units at two different locations in Baden-Württemberg, among other things.In 2016, terranets bw commissioned the Nordschwarzwaldleitung (NOS) pipeline, which carries natural gas from Au am Rhein to Leonberg. Based on the long-term forecasts of the expected gas demand in southern Germany, terranets bw is planning to build a new compressor station northwest of Ettlingen to meet the future requirements of natural gas transport.The compressor station to be built will increase the capacity of the NOS by compressing the natural gas to be transported to a higher pressure and making optimum use of the existing pipeline capacity. A plot of land in the south of the Karlsruhe district, municipality of Rheinstetten, is planned for the compressor station to be built.terranets bw GmbH is inviting tenders in this connection for services for the construction of the low-voltage system and electrical installation.
The services to be provided by the contractor are defined as follows:The supplies and services to be provided by the contractor shall include complete and functional plant components, supplied, assembled, tested and commissioned in accordance with the technical regulations and the client's specifications, as well as the complete electrical installation and cabling in the interior and exterior areas, including the cable routing systems, essentially consisting of:- Supply, assembly and IBN of new low-voltage switchgear, low-voltage switchgear panels, as well as subdistribution boards- Complete electrical installation work (lighting, switches, sockets, emergency stop, etc.) in the exterior areas (station areas).) in the outdoor areas (station area and armature group), as well as in all buildings, e.g.:o Energy center,o Operations building,o Hazardous material storage,o Compressor halls 1-4, FU and transformer buildings- Supply, laying and connection of low-voltage cables and all required control cables including all required cable routing systems on the station area, the armature group, as well as in all buildings.- Planning, interface and scheduling of the installation work Planning, interface and schedule coordination- Coordination with the suppliers of the medium-voltage systems & transformers, the UPS systems, the emergency power system, as well as the control technology- Calculation and design of the LV and LVSV, as well as the cabling:o Short-circuit and load flow calculation incl. protection concepto Selectivity calculationo Grounding calculationo Protection setting calculationo Cable dimensioningRequired data are to be requested and will be provided after award of contract.
