The Université de Sherbrooke is requesting bids for the construction of a laboratory and laboratory equipment room, totalling 53.54m 2 at the Institut de pharmacologie de Sherbrooke, Pavilion Z5, on the Université de Sherbrooke's Campus de la Santé.
Plans, specifications, contract documents and other information will only be available through the Electronic Tendering System (ESTS).
A site visit is scheduled for October 1, 2019, at 2:30 p.m.

Bids must be delivered by hand in sealed envelopes only to the Service des immeubles de l'Université de Sherbrooke in room B4-205 of the Centrale d'énergie du Campus principal which is located on boulevard de l'Université, in Sherbrooke, Québec. Upon receipt, the date and time will be indicated and it is these dates and times that will be used to determine whether or not a bid was received on time. Bids must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. in effect locally, on the 15th day of October 2019 and will be open to the public at the same location, time and day.
The bidder must provide with its bid a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of its bid. The guarantee must be provided in the form of a guarantee or irrevocable letter of guarantee, in which case the models provided for in the call for tenders documents must be used or by means of a certified cheque, money order, draft or bonds payable to the bearer issued or guaranteed by the Government of Québec, Canada or a province or territory covered by an applicable intergovernmental agreement and whose term does not exceed five (5) years.
The bid security shall be exchanged prior to the signing of the contract by a contract performance bond and a guarantee of the contractor's obligations for pledges, materials and services. These guarantees are in the form of bonds, the amount of each of which must correspond to fifty percent (50%) of the value of the contract and these bonds must be provided in the form provided in the tender documents.
Submissions must be valid for a period of forty-five (45) days.
Only contractors with a permanent establishment in Quebec, clearly identified in their name and accessible during normal business hours or, where an intergovernmental agreement is applicable, in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by that agreement, are eligible to bid.
In addition, only bids from contractors holding the required licence under the Building Act (R.S.Q. c. B-1.1) will be considered for the purposes of the tendering process.
Tendering contractors are responsible for the selection of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their bids.
The Owner does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the bids received.
