Description
It needs scanners with the following features and functions:
Type A
- portable
- ability to scan physical objects and create 3D CAD data
- software installed which can transfer the above data to major CAD applications such as Solidworks
Type B
- ability to measure sizes
- to be used for prototyping and reverse engineering of old parts
- similar size and weight to ATOS Triplescan
- cheaper than ATOS Triplescan
Type C
- ability to detect internal cracks in 3D objects
- uses a technology that is not CT scanning
