Description
The project brief is the cleaning, packaging and removal of all waste from the Boat Repair Building (BRB) at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre (FHC) operated by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Due to shot blast, water blast, painting and other vessel repairs completed within the building there is excessive waste build up on surfaces throughout the building. The material contains fine particles of paint, elements of shot blast residue and other waste material in fine dust which is contaminated and therefore hazardous. The project will involve cleaning of all surfaces in the Boat Repair Building (BRB) prior to wet cleaning process including but not limited to ledges, crevices, floors, panels, pipework, purlins, beams, frame bracings, cable trays, trunkings, light fittings, sockets, louvres, rails, walls, ceilings, all fittings, connections and ducting in the Main Boat Shed, Toilet Block, Plant Room, Chimney and Extractor Fan Area. Following removal of hazardous dusts wet wiping of all surfaces as above is to be carried out; dry and clean same. At no stage is power washing to be undertaken as no paint or original surfacing is to be damaged during the cleaning process.
