Description

The Albtal-Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (AVG) is building a new building with office and service areas and a small-scale retail trade with a gross floor area of approx. 36,470 sqm (including underground car park) on its own premises on Durlacher Allee in Karlsruhe, Germany, in the "Oststadt" district of Karlsruhe. It borders Gerwigstrasse to the north, EnBW headquarters to the east, Durlacher Allee to the south and Tullastraße to the west. There are other buildings on the site which are used by the client himself and which will be partly rebuilt. The development of the construction site will take place via Durlacher Allee and Tullastraße. The construction site is located within the operating area of the transport company. As part of the technical building equipment, chillers (total output approx. 3,000 kW) are to be installed in the basement of the TGA control centre. The cooling ceilings on the floors and the WRG stations on the roof are supplied with cooling capacity via the cooling distributor. The recooling of the chillers takes place via a separate water-glycol circuit through the KVS-WRG system. Accordingly, both the heat recovery stations and the plate heat exchangers in the AHUs must be connected during the cold installation. Recirculating air cooling units are used to cool the IT, EDP and electrical rooms. The decentralised ventilation units in the local supply areas (supermarkets etc.) and the circulating air cooling units in the restaurant and café also require a connection to the cold water network. Quantity and scope of the order:- Laying of approx. 8,500 m of piping,- Construction of a cooling centre in the basement: 4 chillers (total capacity approx. 3,000 kW), cold distributors, buffer storage, pump installation,- Connection of approx. 1,200 cooling ceilings to the cooling network (approx. 15 000 m2),- connection of 4 WRG stations to the cold water network,- installation of a separate water-glycol cold water network for recooling the chillers and, in the course of this, connection of the plate heat exchangers located in the AHUs to the network,- connection of approx. 250 circulating air chillers to the cold water network,- connection of the decentralised ventilation units in the local supply area to the cooling network,- adjustment of the system.
