Description

The Post Office needs a container capable of transporting small international bulk parcels, which must be:- able to receive and contain the PPI,- identifiable,- manipulable,- stackable full on a CE30,- collapsible empty.
The contents, in very heterogeneous bulk, consist of PPI with the following dimensions:- minimum size: 100 × 150 mm;- maximum size: 450 × 750 mm;- minimum thickness: 1 mm;- maximum thickness: 400 mm;- average weight: 200 g;- maximum weight: 2 kg. The density of the contents is estimated at 0,235 kg/l. The container is transported on an EC30. It can be dragged on the ground (industrial floor) for a few meters during loading and unloading. The conditions of use are:- temperature between -20o C and +40o C,- humidity between 30% and 90%.The characteristics of the CE30 are as follows:- internal width: 500 mm;- distance between the two sides at their base: 905 mm;- height of the sides: 1,340 mm;- two upper radii per side of 130 mm;- distance between the two sides at a height of 1,340 mm: from a nominal 905/920 mm to 1,000 mm as measured on used CE30s;- height of deposit (level of the bottom/ground): 200 mm;- the sides are made of 30 mm square tube. The bottom is made of plastic and a canvas transport house is inserted into the CE30 before loading. The volume of the CE30 with its cover is 535 l. The cover is not included in the supply. The estimated market volume is 20,000 containers per year.
