United States - Gearbox Assembly in support of the TH-1H helicopter

The Defense Logistics Agency, Aviation Wing, Robins AFB, GA, will acquire replenishment spare parts-Gearbox Assembly- applicable to the TH-1H helicopter.
This is a sole source requirement under FAR 6.302-1 for Bell Helicopter, Inc.  Bell is the OEM for this part.

NOUN: Gearbox Assembly
This item has been determined to be an aviation critical safety part. It is located at the top of the tail book vertical fin and provides 90-degree change in the direction of the drive train and speed reduction between input drive shaft and its output shaft on which the tail rotor is mounted. The Government does not own the data for this part
SPRWA1-19-Q-0038 is a request for quote for a firm-fixed price contract with a 12-month (approximate) period of performance. Detailed drawings are not available from the procuring activity.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. A written RFQ is attached to this posting. This attached RFQ includes delivery, shipping, and packaging requirements.
IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
