This synopsis is for FY19 Savannah Inner Harbor Maintenance Dredging. This acquisition is being offered as an unrestricted full and open competitive solicitation and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract Award. The construction magnitude for this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.
Description of Work: The Savannah Inner Harbor requirement provides construction services, including furnishing personnel, transportation, mobilization and demobilization, equipment and materials required in connection with maintenance dredging. This contract duration is expected to be approximately 12 months from notice to proceed. Approximately four (4) million cubic yards of maintenance material is expected to be removed from the Inner Harbor.
The work is located in the Savannah Harbor Georgia deep draft navigation project. The Savannah Harbor project is a located in Savannah, Georgia (GA) on the border of Georgia and South Carolina (SC) in Chatham County. The Savannah Inner Harbor channel project depth is 42 ft. MLLW and is 500 ft. wide to the upper end of Kings Island Turning Basin and is expected to undergo a deepening which will alter the project depth to 47 ft. MLLW.
All material dredged from the Savannah Inner Harbor shall be placed in upland confined disposal areas adjacent to the Savannah River, with DMCA 13A and DMCA 13B receiving the majority of the maintenance material. Other dredging activities in both the federal channel and the adjacent DMCAs are likely to be occurring during the performance of this contract.
Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using FAR 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures.
