REQUIREMENT
The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has a requirement to procure services for fuel analysis; inclusive the supply of fuel testing kits. The fuel taken on board requires testing on a regular basis to ensure compliance with warranty on the MTU engines fitted on board.
INTRODUCTION
The Canadian Coast Guard is in the process of building new Search and Rescue (SAR) Lifeboats (Bay Class) for various stations across Canada. The CCG will require fuel testing kits to complete regular fuel analysis as part of an ongoing strategy to ensure compliance with MTU warranty; as well as, prolong the life of the MTU engines.
OBJECTIVES OF THE REQUIREMENT
The objective is to procure the services of a laboratory that provides oil analysis and testing kits for the analysis of fuel samples for twenty (20) new SAR Lifeboats. The testing will be executed on a regular basis on all these vessels, which are stationed across Canada. Fuel samples will be collected for a one year period which starts upon the delivery of the vessel, up until the end of the warranty period, one (1) year from date of delivery. The delivery of these vessels will take place between 2017 and 2023.
