Description
It wants a test to characterise how suppositories behave and rank their slip performance.
The purpose is to identify good slip behaviour and correlate to the rectal administration improvement.
The slip can be determined by measuring the force necessary to move suppositories held in a weighted sled across a wet surface.
The force necessary to start the sled moving, static friction, and the load necessary to keep the sled in motion, the dynamic friction is measured.
This kind of test can be performed using texture analysers or any universal testing machine that offers tensile testing and proper analytical adapters.
