Description
The vessel will be:
- one of the reserved fireboats in the fleet, it will be used to perform standby duty when on-run fireboats are attending their annual docking maintenance or urgent repair
- used by the fire department for firefighting operations in Hong Kong waters
- used in the event of an emergency or rescue situation where a vessel is in distress
The vessel should:
- have a contract speed of not less than 25 knots
- have a hull structure and main deck made from marine grade steel
- have a superstructure made of marine grade steel or aluminium alloy
- have a propulsion system comprising two or three marine diesel engines
- be able to carry 9 crew members, 18 land crew for fire-fighting and have a life raft rescue capacity not less than 80 persons
You must provide copies of the design and construction specifications of the vessel including drawings.
