Description
Guyana's national road network is made up of national roads number 1 and number 2, which are almost 450 km long. This network constitutes a structuring infrastructure by serving the main urban (Cayenne, Kourou and Saint-Laurent urban centres) and strategic centres (Guyana's space centre in Kourou, Félix Éboué airport, borders). The national road network is an essential element of the territory's economy. In this context, Guyana's General Directorate of Territories and the Sea (DGTM), which is the project owner on behalf of the Ministry of Ecological Transition (MTE) and under the authority of the Prefect, is planning to develop the network.
