Description
The aim of the procurement is to cover the Norwegian Defence's changing need for technical shipping engineering services within selected disciplines.The contest is for framework agreements for the delivery of engineering services with the following four delivery areas:1) Hull, machine, and fire;2) Fire and breakdown;3) Electro and automation;4) Access engineering.
The delivery area hull, machine, and fire includes the hire and assignment based procurements of maritime technical shipping engineering services in accordance with the specified requirement areas. Tenderers must have solid theoretical and practical competence, as well as delivery capacity within the discipline.The tenderer will carry out studies and design work, write specifications, make calculations, carry out analyses, and technical follow-up of work on board within the delivery area. The work includes assignments connected to existing vessels, modifications, lifetime extensions, as well as new projects. The assignments will vary from minor studies and sub-deliveries for projects, to major multi-disciplinary deliveries (within specified requirement areas) where the tenderer has project management and delivery responsibility for the all of the work.Military requirements for survival ability, shock, and signatures are particular for the hull and machine delivery area, when compared with civil vessels. Military requirements are regulated through separate military rules and standards for the vessels.The description of the scope of work within the delivery area is not exhaustive. The delivery area fire and breakdown includes, amongst other things, engineering design services, analyses, calculations, and inspection activities within the field breakdown protection, fire protection, and rescue. The delivery area electro and automation includes the hire and assignment based procurements of maritime technical shipping engineering services in accordance with specified requirement areas. Tenderers must have solid theoretical and practical competence, as well as delivery capacity within the discipline.The tenderer will carry out studies and design work, write specifications, make calculations, carry out analyses, and technical follow-up of work on board within the delivery area.
