Description
As part of the UNICARagil project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, leading German universities in the automotive sector have joined forces with industrial partners to develop autonomous electric vehicles. The basis for this is a modular and scalable vehicle concept. One focus of this concept is the development of a module, the so-called dynamic module, which is a highly integrated drive unit that combines the functions of steering, driving and braking. In the project consortium, the Institute for Motor Vehicles at RWTH Aachen University is responsible, among other things, for developing, designing and implementing the highly integrated unit.
