Description

The Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH - Verkehrsbetrieb (SWS) is a partner in the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association. The transport offer comprises 24 lines with approx. 500 stops in the Solingen city area and in neighbouring towns and communities. The vehicle fleet consists of about 100 buses, 50 trolleybuses and 50 diesel buses. Approximately 24 million passengers are transported annually on a route network with a length of approx. 200 km. As a contribution of the Solingen public utility company to sustainable mobility, the share of electric transport capacity is to be further increased using the existing overhead line system. To this end, additional battery trolleybuses with dynamic recharging of high-performance energy storage units and intelligent charging and energy management are to be procured. This specific, innovative task requires a special presentation of the participants in the field of electrical engineering. Vehicle description: The registration procedure as a tram and motor vehicle according to German law is to be carried out by the contractor. The laws, ordinances and guidelines that have been observed must be described in the application for participation.the electronics must be accommodated in a double-insulated, waterproof and air-cooled equipment container on/on the roof.the driver's workplace must be designed in accordance with VDV specifications.
