The AOK Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland - Die Gesundheitskasse runs prevention and health promotion programs in the school setting in accordance with § 20a SGB V. An important focus of prevention and health promotion is the promotion of a healthy diet among children and adolescents.A school field where children and adolescents grow their own food enables them to get to know unprocessed food in its originality, to appreciate it and to increase the consumption of healthy and sustainable food. A service provider is being sought to implement a school acre to promote healthy and sustainable eating among children and youth.
The aim of a prevention offer to promote a healthy and sustainable diet with the help of a school acre is to motivate and empower children and adolescents for a healthy and sustainable diet according to the guideline prevention, to promote awareness for the complex of topics environment, climate and sustainability, to anchor health-promoting structures at schools and to sensitize the home environment for the topic of nutritional competence.
