Description

Auckland Council is seeking an enthusiastic, confident and adaptable facilitator to help lead the Great Barrier ecological vision. They will need good time management skills, an understanding of social change projects and have resilience when dealing with tough ecological issues. We need someone with ecological knowledge accompanied with event management and community engagement experience. Good communication skills are pivotal to the success of this programme and the facilitator will be expected to communicate with residents of Great Barrier, absentee land owners and visitors to the island. The person within your company chosen to act as the facilitator will need to make a one-year commitment to the project. They will need to be able to commit to a minimum of one day per week to this project. .
The facilitator will survey, educate and consult the Aotea community to increase participation in community led ecological restoration across the island. We require the contractor to work in collaboration with the Auckland council Biosecurity Advisor Great Barrier to undertake ecology vision workshops and restoration activities. More details can be found in the attached document "GETS REOI".
The contract is anticipated to commence in July 2019. Respond by completing and submitting the attached Acknowledgement Form through GETS on, or before, 6pm on Tuesday 21st May 2019, to indicate your interest to participate.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be carried out in SAP Ariba and interested suppliers will be invited to participate the tender on 27th May 2019 with all the necessary documents.
