Description
The purpose of this Discussion Paper is to engage with Industry on how best to meet the Royal Australian Navy’s (Navy) future requirements in relation to Navy training services. These services are primarily those currently delivered by Navy’s Training Force.
Training and education is a key enabler in the achievement of the Navy's mission ‘to fight and win at sea’. Navy provides a combination of contractor delivered and in-house training for its workforce at various locations around Australia.
Navy is seeking Industry’s views on efficient, effective and innovative contracting models that will enable Navy to meet its training responsibilities for present and future requirements. While the initial focus is on a number of trade training and platform (ship specific) training, Navy is looking to identify synergies and Value For Money across the broader range of its training services in the longer term. This could entail a progressive/phased Procurement Strategy where it makes sense to do so.
