Description

Acquisition of an isotopic ratio mass spectrometry equipment with coupling to an elemental analyser for the measurement of relative isotopic abundances of 15N,13C, 34S to replace a Deltaplus spectrometer (Finnigan) and an elemental analyser EA1108 (Carlo Erba Instruments) currently catalogued as obsolete. The requested equipment is necessary to facilitate the flow of equipment and materials and the storage of tested samples. It will serve a series of CITEEC facilities, including construction laboratories, rock mechanics, railways, port and coast docks, etc. These tasks are currently carried out manually, with a high consumption of human resources and a certain risk associated with the movement of loads. Due to its transversal nature, it is a necessary infrastructure since its absence seriously limits the development possibilities of the affected laboratories. Acquisition of low resolution mass spectrometry infrastructure coupled to gas and liquid chromatography to replace equipment currently catalogued as obsolete or that no longer meets the required performance. The aim is to provide the CITEEC Construction Laboratory with the necessary equipment and software for 2D and 3D monitoring based on the digital correlation of images (and, therefore, without contact with the specimen tested) for complex tests on structural elements and materials of all kinds. The Scientific Research Centre (CICA) of the University of A Coruña is to be equipped with a laboratory (Proteomlab) with high-resolution mass spectrometry equipment for the identification, characterisation and analysis of high molecular weight biomolecules (proteins, peptides, lipids and metabolites) and the development of proteomics, lipidomics and metabolomics strategies for use by all those CICA research groups and other centres or organisms in the environment.
