Renovation management Castrop-Rauxel/Left and right of the Emscher, here: organisation and implementation of measures and projects from the integrated energy district concept "Castrop-Rauxel | Left and right of the Emscher" and the "Energy renovation concept Castrop-Rauxel Habinghorst".
The town of Castrop-Rauxel has submitted an application to the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) for funding for the implementation of energy-related urban renewal measures in the project area "Castrop-Rauxel | Left and Right of the Emscher". The main task of the redevelopment management is the organisation and implementation of measures and projects from the Integrated Energy Neighbourhood Concept "Castrop-Rauxel | Left and Right of the Emscher" and the "Energy Redevelopment Concept Castrop-Rauxel Habinghorst". The concepts form the basis for the energy-related urban renewal in the project area and provide the catalogue of measures for the work of the renewal management. This target group is therefore given special attention. Accordingly, a large number of projects have been developed that address this group directly, e.g. door-to-door advice on funding opportunities or publicity campaigns on energy-efficient refurbishment. In addition to the renovation of residential buildings, electricity savings in private households and the modernisation of heating systems are the primary fields of action for the activities of the renovation management. An external service provider is to be commissioned to fulfil the tasks of the renovation management within the framework of an EU-wide tender. The aim of the work of the renovation management is to increase the renovation rate of the buildings and to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the project area.
