Uruguay - Consultancy co-ordinating a Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy

Description

You should be able to:

- co-ordinate the implementation, and follow up, of the prioritised actions of the strategy
- support country representatives in the BIM Latin American Network of Governments
- analyse and review work and exchanges developed within the BIM Network of Latin American Governments
- identity and monitor BIM projects in the public sector, including pilot projects
- collaborate in the design of the National BIM Implementation Programme in the public sector
- co-ordinate information related to pilots and actions carried out by different national institutions linked to BIM and put it into a system
- identify and co-ordinate activities related to BIM standard development, this work will be co-ordinated and carried out at the BIM Forum Uruguay
- identify and suggest the definition of activities related to capacity building in BIM in both the public and private sectors
- co-ordinate and create a system for the methodology of BIM workshops
- propose a BIM implementation guide for public projects in Uruguay, considering the work done by the BIM Network of Latin American Governments

You must be:

- based in Uruguay for the period of the project and a citizen of one of the 48 countries of the Inter-American Development Bank
- have a Masters or undergraduate degree in Engineering or Architecture
- have experience in project management for the construction industry, with technical knowledge of BIM methodologies, technology adoption strategies and has worked with public and private institutions
- certification and or studies in the management of tools and software related to the BIM methodology

It will be an advantage to have:

- knowledge in design, management and or promotion of the BIM methodology
- at least 5 years experience in construction sector projects design and management
- at least 3 years technical knowledge of the BIM methodology and experience of collaboration in networks

Spanish will be required.

The contract is for 10 months.
