Belgium - Construction work for a drinking water treatment plant

Description

It concerns the construction works for the expansion of the production capacity of the drinking water production centre at Beneluxlaan 100, in Harelbeke/Stasegem. In addition to the new after-treatment building (± 75 m x 55 m x 10 m), extensions of the activated carbon building, the sludge thickener, the intake building and the nitrificators also need to be realised. The finishing (floors, carpentry, electricity, [...]) and the environmental works (sewerage, roads, [...]) of all these components are also part of this project. The buildings/constructions (including the volumes containing water) are to be constructed in (in-situ) reinforced fair-faced concrete. The study of the stability of the reinforced concrete structures is an integral part of the assignment and constitutes a separate, fixed part of the assignment. All quantities of concrete, formwork and reinforcement have to be filled in by the tenderer himself in the state of measurement. The electromechanical indoor installations and the laying of (drinking) water pipes/wires on the site will be entrusted to side contractors at a later stage.
