Germany - Construction of railway tunnels

Description

The district of Calw has taken over the section Weil der Stadt - Calw of the "Württembergische Schwarzwaldbahn" (route 4810) from the Deutsche Bahn AG on 1.1.1994 and since then aims at a new traffic start as "Hermann-Hesse-Bahn". In the meantime, both the project management and the ownership of the line have been transferred to the Zweckverband Hermann-Hesse-Bahn. The planned transport services make it necessary to shorten the historical route between Weil der Stadt and Ostelsheim by approx. 3 km. For this purpose, a 498 m long, single-track new tunnel with a length of approx. km 27.8 + 40 to 32.9 + 25 is to be constructed in the "Ostelsheimer Kurve" in the section from approx. km 27.8 + 40 to 32.9 + 25. The subject of the planned negotiation procedure with an upstream competition for participation is the shell construction of the tunnel, the upstream and downstream preliminary cut as well as the equipment of the tunnel with a dry extinguishing pipe including extinguishing water storage tank and extinguishing water collection basin. Not included in the scope of services are the technical railway upgrading with track bodies and tracks as well as the tunnel equipment (control and safety technology, radio, etc.).
