Description

The subject matter of the contract are construction works performed under the project "Drainage of the City of Łódź", co-financed with EU funds under Measure 2.1 "Adaptation to climate change together with protection against and increasing of resistance to natural disasters, particularly natural catastrophes and monitoring of the environment" priority axis II Environmental protection, including adaptation to climate change of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014 - 2020:Task 1.10 - Construction of the "Strykowska" tank-sedimentary on the Łódka River in Łódź.
The task provides for the construction of a dry reservoir-sedimentary tank "Strykowska" on the Łódka River with an area calculated at the upper edge of 11,335m2 and at the bottom of 8,085m2. Its purpose is to improve water quality in the downstream retention reservoir "Wojska Polskiego" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. The works will be carried out in the Łódka River valley, from km 16+498 (inlet to the 2.10x1.33m bell culvert under Wojska Polskiego Street) to km 16+654 (outlet from the 2.10x1.33m bell culvert under Strykowska Street).The task is to create a basin of the sequential sedimentation and biofiltration system with depths from 0.8m to 1.4m, with a total volume of 1,447m3 and a shoreline area of 1,621m2, which constitutes 15% of the total area of the reservoir. The basin will be divided by two gabion barriers into: sedimentation zone with a shoreline area of 471m2 and capacity of 377m3 - biofiltration zone with a shoreline area of 689m2 and capacity of 463m3 - outflow zone with a shoreline area of 461m2 and capacity of 607m3 Additionally, a sectional reconstruction of the Łódka riverbed is planned along the entire length of the reservoir, i.e. 156m, along with replacement of the existing bottom and slope reinforcement.The execution of the said tasks will be performed in compliance with "Contract Conditions for Construction for Engineering and Construction Works Designed by the Contracting Authority", 4th English-Polish unamended edition, 2008 (translation of the 1st edition, 1999) issued by the Society of Consulting Engineers and Appraisers (SIDIR) along with the Special Conditions of Contract.
