Description
The City of Marieville is seeking bids for the CONSTRUCTION of a municipal library and new community center.
Tender documents may be obtained via the electronic tendering system (SE@O) at www.seao.gouv.qc.ca or by calling 1 877 336-SEAO (1 877 336-7326), starting September 18, 2024, upon payment of the fees established by SE@O according to the rate schedule.
Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the City in two (2) copies (one (1) original and one (1) copy), accompanied by the required documents, all in a sealed, addressed envelope bearing the bidder's name and the words "APPEL D'OFFRES AO-24-18-P- TRAVAUX DE CONSTRUCTION D'UNE BIBLIOTHÈQUE MUNICIPALE ET DU NOUVEAU CENTRE COMMUNAUTAIRE À MARIEVILLE". They will be received at the Town Clerk's Office, Marieville Town Hall, 682 Saint-Charles Street, Marieville, Quebec J3M 1P9, until 1:30 p.m. on November 11, 2024, and will be publicly opened at the Town Hall as soon as possible after 1:30 p.m. on November 11, 2024.
This contract is subject to the ACCQO (Accord de commerce et de coopération entre le Québec et l'Ontario), to the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and to the CEFTA (Canadian Free Trade Agreement).
For any information whatsoever, bidders should contact only Mr. Dominic Duff, who is responsible for providing information to bidders, at 450 460-4444, extension 280, or by e-mail at d.duff@ville.marieville.qc.ca. Any attempt by a bidder to obtain information from any other person at the City of Marieville, whether a member of Council or a municipal employee, consultant or agent of the City, constitutes a contravention punishable by rejection of the bid and other sanctions.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond representing 10% of the bid if the bond is issued by an authorized company or 15% if by certified cheque and/or letter of guarantee valid 90 days after the submission of bids.
No site visit is required. If the contractor wishes, he can make a site visit at a date and time convenient to him.
The City does not undertake to accept the lowest or any of the bids submitted, and further disclaims all liability for costs incurred by bidders in preparing their bids. The City also reserves the right to delete portions of the specifications, or to waive any of the conditions listed, or to award portions of the contract as it sees fit.
