Description

The Klinikum Ludwigshafen intends to purchase a data storage system from NetApp. This new system is a highly available active-active cluster in which the existing NetApp data storage is to be integrated. After extensive testing, solutions from other manufacturers were excluded, as 100% compatibility with the existing systems is not given and risks are to be avoided. Since the data storage system forms the core of the entire data processing of the hospital, the security of the data and the technically smooth operation have priority over all other considerations. The aim of procurement is not only to purchase the necessary hardware and software, but also, and in particular, to bring the plant to operational readiness (handover ready for operation: by 18 March 2019). For this reason, an EVB IT system contract is concluded with the best bidder. Since the required service cannot be described in detail, an estimate was made of the expenditure required to bring the service into operational readiness. According to our estimate, this will take about 30 man-days with suitable personnel.
