This is a synopsis of a proposed contract action. This is neither a solicitation nor an invitation for offerors to submit proposals. This contract action will be a delivery order under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, Solicitation number FA8134-19-R-0002, estimated Award number FA8134-19-D-0001. As directed by Solicitation FA8134-19-R-0002, all acquisitions utilizing the IDIQ contract vehicle are to accomplish an appropriate sole source justification, and each acquisition will be synopsized as appropriate and IAW FAR Part 5.
The U.S. Air Force intends to issue a Solicitation in the form of a letter Request for Proposal (RFP) to (Contractor) Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, 500 Gulfstream Rd Savannah, GA 31408, for the procurement of two (2) C-37B aircraft in FY20, with the option of a third aircraft in FY21. The aircraft will be procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(b) (2) "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, is the only vendor capable of manufacturing Gulfstream Aircraft. Award will be posted to www.FBO.gov.
This notice is not a request for alternative brand and model, nor is it a request for competitive proposals. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement with alternative brands/models. A determination by the Government not to consider alternative brands/models based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
