After almost 30 years of operation, the intensive care units at the Mitte site are at the end of their structural and technical lifecycles. An extension of medical-technical devices is only possible in individual cases due to the outdated electrical supply. The current room situation also does not permit any additional bed locations or optimisation of work processes. The number of patients, which has increased continuously in recent years, can no longer be adequately accommodated by the current room structure of the Central Emergency Department (ZNA). Among other things, the outdated spatial design (planning basis 1980-1985) and the resulting process deficits (long waiting times etc.) contribute to the sustainable need for action in the ZNA. Due to a lack of design options in the existing building, these two areas are to be newly established in an extension building on the site of the former staff dormitory III/current interim parking lot (right of the main entrance). In this way, the structural design of these two highly sensitive and highly frequented areas can be adapted to the medical and organisational processes. In addition, it will be possible to react much better to the further increase in technical requirements. A newly structured and newly established emergency department increases the attractiveness in the event of necessary use by the patients, relatives and not least the rescue service personnel, which leads to the expectation of a direct positive development in proceeds.Due to the aforementioned building situation, an extension is intended.The total value mentioned under II.1.5) refers to the cost groups 200-700.The end of the term of the contract described under II.2.7) refers to the end of LPH 9.
