Description

The building at Tzschirnerstraße 14a was built around 1912 as a railway administration office. Since the last conversion in 2001, it has been used as a driving permit authority in the Bautzen district. With the move of the Kreismusikschule to Tzschirnerstraße 14a, future users have high expectations for the suitability and quality of the new premises with regard to optimized usability for musical education and related functions including school administration, which were introduced by the school in March 2019 in a workshop with the users and the building administration, the results of which form the basis for the conversion planning. In the workshop it was shown that the existing building complex is to be subjected to a comprehensive reconstruction with extension by a new extension. the architect and engineer services connected with the reconstruction for the building planning according to part 3, section 1 HOAI and services for building and room acoustics HOAI Annex 1 as special service, the structural design according to part 4, section 1 HOAI, as well as the open space planning according to part 3, section 2 HOAI are subject of the invitation to tender. the assignment takes place gradually. With the conclusion of the negotiation procedure, work phases 1 to 3 (supporting structures 1 to 6) are contractually commissioned. The client intends to assign the following work phases 4 to 9 in the following when continuing with the planning and execution of the construction project. There is no legal claim to the commissioning of further work stages. The Contractor shall be obliged to render the services of the further stages of performance if the Customer assigns them to him. The services are to be awarded jointly to architects who can cover the entire range of services or to teams of the individual disciplines. The architect, as the executing office, is to be in charge of the project. Structural designers, acousticians and landscape architects can act as subcontractors. The planned conversion and extension of the Bautzen District Music School means that the school's specific spatial programme with classrooms in 4 different sizes, group rooms, student lounges, a performance hall with adjoining rooms, a small stage and rooms for the school management, teachers and school administration must be implemented in the best possible way in existing and new buildings. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the architecture and the interior spaces is intended to create an inspiring learning environment that promotes the creativity of the pupils and creates a motivating learning and working atmosphere for the teachers and staff of the school, while at the same time taking special account of the high demands placed on room acoustics in order to guarantee good conditions for lessons, rehearsals and performances and to avoid mutual interference. In addition, a fixed number of parking spaces must be accommodated on the building site.
