Description

For the measure New Construction of the Visitor and Information Center of the German Bundestag (BIZ) and the Underground Refrigeration Center (UKZ) the engineering surveying is awarded. The subject of the present award procedure is the award of the selected services in the area of planning surveying in accordance with HOAI Annex 1.4.4 and the services in the area of construction surveying in accordance with HOAI Annex 1.4.7.The exact scope of the services to be procured is set out in the specifications.The services are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2023.
The engineering surveying is awarded for the measure New Construction of the Visitor and Information Center of the German Bundestag (BIZ) and the Underground Refrigeration Center (UKZ). The subject of the present award procedure is the award of the selected services in the field of planning surveying in accordance with HOAI Annex 1.4.4 and the services in the field of construction surveying in accordance with HOAI Annex 1.4.7. The exact scope of the services to be procured is set out in the specifications.The Federal Institute for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) intends to construct the Visitor and Information Center of the German Bundestag (BIZ) and the Underground Refrigeration Center (UKZ) (together the "Construction Project").For the BIZ, an open, two-phase competition was held by the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in close coordination with the German Bundestag, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and the Federal State of Berlin. The winning design is now to be implemented.In future, visitors to the German Bundestag are to be adequately prepared for participation in the plenary session from the visitors' galleries, both individually and in groups, in sufficiently large rooms by means of information prepared for the target group with lectures, interactive role plays, films and also Internet-supported media. Furthermore, rooms for the meeting of members of parliament with their visitor groups as well as a bistro and a Bundestag store will be built.The connection of the BIZ and the Reichstag building will be ensured by a visitor tunnel that only one security check for the visitors will be necessary.The refrigeration for the Reichstag building (RTG) and the visitor information center (BIZ) will in future be provided by a newly built underground refrigeration center (UKZ) in front of the RTG. Furthermore, the elimination of the public toilets on the grounds of the BIZ will make this necessary. In addition to the outdoor facilities of the BIZ and further interventions in the area of the security zone, the fencing facilities and the Aha trench in the area of the security perimeter in front of the RTG are part of the overall project.
