Description

The city of Werdau, as the owner of the station forecourt and the reception building at Bahnhofsplatz 1, has been planning the redesign of the public transport interchange for 10 years. It is planned to completely demolish the reception building with the exception of the elevator shaft with machine room and the stairway to the underpass. Subsequently, a new roofing of the access area to the elevator and the underpass as well as a building with a waiting room and a public toilet for the disabled will be constructed. Furthermore, the entire bus area will be deconstructed and newly developed. Modern bus stops and parking spaces for passengers will be created. The site clearance of the reception building from facilities required for railroad operations has been completed. The planning for the traffic system, the building demolition and the construction of the new service building have been completed up to the submission of the building application LP 4.
