Description

The Municipality of Arnhem wishes to conclude a framework agreement with service providers in the field of archaeology for a period of two years, with an option for extension twice, with a maximum of twelve months. This invitation to tender is divided into two lots. The tenders will be assessed separately for each lot. Tenders may be submitted for one or both lots. The AD intends to conclude a Framework Agreement with the Tenderer(s) for lots 1 and 2 separately: - for lot 1 - archaeological services without digging research: framework agreements with two Contractors, - for lot 2 - archaeological services with digging research: framework agreements with three Contractors.
The requested services for lot 1 will contain one or more of the elements listed below:1. the production of archaeological forecast maps and policy maps;2. the drawing up of schedules of requirements and plans of approach, the latter especially in the case of extensive and/or complex archaeological research;3. the production of desk surveys;4. the performance of drilling surveys and other non-destructive surveys, possibly in combination with the desk survey referred to above;5. advising on the conservation of archaeological values in situ (plan adaptation, 'archaeology-friendly construction') and monitoring thereof;6. embedding the conservation of archaeological monuments in complex spatial planning projects;7. developing instruments for the legal and planning protection of archaeological values (e.g. exemption limits for archaeological research) or advising on this;8. providing second opinions in relation to the conservation of archaeological monuments. The services requested for Plot 2 will include one or more of the elements listed below:1. carrying out excavation research in the form of trial trenching, excavations (Final Research) and excavation variant archaeological guidance;2. providing advice in relation to the responsible conservation and storage of find material, the conservation of find material and the elaboration of find material and excavation data from third parties, including the municipality of Arnhem;3. providing actors to support archaeological work carried out by the municipality of Arnhem.
