Description

The AIR70001B facility project (the Project) is a major project providing new facilities at RAAF Base Tindal, Northern Territory and RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. The scope comprises development of major new infrastructure and facilities to support the AIR7000 Phase1B Remote Piloted Aircraft System also known as the MQ-4C Triton capability (Triton). The proposed capital investment is not yet approved by the Australian Parliament but is anticipated in Q3 2022. 
The works at RAAF Base Edinburgh are proposed to be delivered as an additional work package under an existing Defence Managing Contract for a related facilities project.
The works at RAAF Base Tindal are proposed to be delivered via the Head Contract (Construct Only) delivery methodology utilising Defence’s 100% documented design. A single stage Request For Tender (RFT) is proposed to Approach The Market (ATM) via AusTender functionality.
This market sounding pertains to the works at RAAF Base Tindal only.
The works include construction of complex large scale secure facilities including:
•              significant airfield pavements
•              hangars for four aircraft
•              maintenance and operating facilities including workshops and stores
•              working accommodation
•              secure communications facilities
•              roads
•            extensive site wide service
