Description

Modal transfer. It is a matter of carrying out awareness and communication campaigns, awareness-raising actions, experimentation in order to guarantee the city's good accessibility to all users and to improve the quality of life by reducing the use, possession and space occupied by the individual car. The changes in use developed by Good Move require awareness-raising and communication campaigns for the general public or specific target audiences. Priority will be given to Brussels motorised vehicle users and those entering the Region, with multimodality as a reference point for use. These campaigns and actions will be carried out using specific tools and events. Within the framework of the city of proximity and peace, the priorities are to promote: walking for short distances; cycling for short (less than five km) and medium distances (less than twenty-five km), the city 30 will help to calm traffic and provide adequate traffic conditions to encourage all active modes (walking, cycling, scooters, etc.). In the context of improving multimodality, the priority is to promote car ownership and to encourage shared and combined mobility: bicycle and car-sharing, public transport, new modes of travel, but also teleworking, satellite offices, rationalisation of travel chains, deliveries at relay points, etc. Road safety. The aim is to carry out awareness-raising and communication campaigns, awareness-raising, experimentation and education on road safety as part of the strategy set out in the Road Safety Action Plan 2021-2030 and the enforcement measures planned by the federal police and the local police districts. The aim is to communicate efficiently, effectively and qualitatively to the public in general and to specific target groups. For your information, the Regional Road Safety Action Plan 2011-2020 is available on the website: https://mobilite-mobiliteit.brussels/fr/plan-de-securite-routiereVéhicules and freight transport - complementary missions. The aim is to carry out, on a one-off basis, smaller-scale communication actions relating to vehicles and goods transport, such as road transport (blind spot, compliance with securing, etc.), driver training, technical inspections, etc. The themes are: the "city 30". The ambitions of the generalisation of 30 km/h in the Brussels conurbation are to:- reduce the number and severity of traffic accidents for all users;- offer favourable conditions for the development of walking and cycling, in a calm traffic environment;- materialise the local character of the vast majority of Brussels roads;- reduce environmental nuisances, particularly traffic noise, and increase the quality of life in the city. The objectives are to develop a positive and dynamic image of the City 30 in Brussels and to create support, to encourage users to move around other than by car because in the City 30 the S-T-O-P principle is respected, to promote respect for the City 30 among the general public and various target audiences (business customers, children, companies, etc.) through promotional actions and events, the whole population of Brussels and all visitors to the Region must understand that the City 30 applies (the diversity of the population and the languages used are taken into account).walking. It is necessary to strengthen the role of walking as the basis of the mobility system. Walking is often not recognised as such. The aim is to make the people of Brussels aware that walking is indeed a mode of transport. Walking is too often seen as a means of getting around in free time, for strolling. However, walking is automatically part of the chain of journeys and can nevertheless represent a complete journey, e.g. to go to the baker's, to drop off the children at school or to go to work. In addition, a two-kilometre walk contributes to better health. The overall aim is to stimulate walking by making it visible. Cycling. Within the framework of the regional "GoodMove" plan, the bicycle is put forward as a lever to achieve the objective of reducing travel in the city with the private car. The objective is to continue to promote the efficiency of cycling as a real urban mode of travel, as a real way of life and as part of the city's identity. The efficient and beneficial aspect of cycling for everyone is highlighted. The objective is to:- show the positive and dynamic image of cycling in Brussels and encourage new cyclists to get on the saddle;- promote cycling to the general public and to various target groups (business customers, children in companies,...) through awareness raising actions and concrete experiments as well as through promotional events;- encourage current cyclists through various events and actions with the aim of creating and/or enlarging a community of cycling ambassadors.multimodality. The user-centred service approach (Mobility as a Service - MaaS) makes it possible to meet the challenge of doing without a private car. The disconnection between owning a car and being able to use it when needed responds to two challenges: on the one hand, to favour other mobility practices, by reducing the default use often implied by ownership, and on the other hand, to move towards a reduction in the number of cars, so as to reduce the proportion of public space occupied by parking. The aim is to:- develop a positive and dynamic image of the city in which one travels without a personal car and create support;- encourage users to travel by means other than the car (in connection with the city 30 where the S-T-O-P principle is respected);- encourage non-possession of the car;- make visible the range of travel modes and services available to the people of Brussels.Road safety. The priority is to publicise and promote the safest and most proactive behaviour in the following areas: addiction, banning travel under the influence (alcohol, drugs, medicines, etc.), speed (respecting speed limits and adapting speed to the environment, anticipating risks, e.g. pedestrians crossing, children, etc.), protection of vulnerable road users and distraction (e.g. moving around and responding to messages, etc.). The objective is to:- to develop a positive and dynamic general image of road safety in Brussels;- to involve citizens through different events and actions and to promote understanding by different users of the needs of other road users in order to ensure a harmonious sharing of the road between all;- to promote a road safety culture and respectful behaviour in terms of road safety among the general public and various target audiences through awareness-raising actions;- to increase citizens' interest in road safety issues;- to improve road safety in the Brussels Capital Region by disseminating clear, precise, unambiguous information on good behaviour and the rules of the road and the highway code.
