Conception, implementation and monitoring of qualification measures for day care workers in Baden-Württemberg for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg is responsible for the conception, implementation and monitoring of qualification measures for day care workers in BW. The quality of day care is of particular importance. According to § 22 SGB VIII, the funding mandate covers upbringing, education and care. The qualification of day care staff must therefore be secured and further developed. The aim is to ensure that day care workers in Baden-Württemberg are uniformly qualified for their work. 160 teaching units are currently being conducted to qualify day care workers. In future, a basic qualification of 300 teaching units (duration of a teaching unit: 45 minutes) is to be implemented for new day care workers. The expansion of the basic qualification to 300 teaching units for new day care staff and already working day care staff (140+) is intended to further expand the quantity and quality of the qualification within the framework of the so-called "Good Childcare Act" throughout the country.
