The United States Government (USG) Army Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) intends to award on a sole source basis, IAW 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) entitled "Only One Responsible Source, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" the procurement of the non-recurring modification of the configuration of the AH-64D and AH-64E Apache aircraft to include the new canopy severance device known as the Underwater Emergency Egress System (UEES) to The Boeing Company, 5000 E McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215, Cage Code: 8V613.
The requirement includes the following: This design replaces the current detonation system in both door and window locations for the pilot and copilot in its entirety. This modification effort includes finalizing the design, integrating and testing of the UEES; creating and/or updating the modification, maintenance, and sustainment documentation creation; the applicable validation and verification of those documents; logistical support; technical services; production planning; and systems project management for the new design. This effort will result in the delivery of five (5) UEES modification kits.
The AH-64A/D/E technical data packages are held by The Boeing Company located at 5000 E McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215.
