This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a source sought/RFI only. The purpose of this source sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339112 (size standard of 1,000 Employees). Responses to this source sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide Prevac Steam Sterilizers that at a minimum meets the following salient characteristics with brand name for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System:

The Amsco Evolution steam sterilizer features a high capacity chamber that has been validated to sterilize up to 3 shelves of large instrument trays weighing up to 25lbs. each (300lbs total). The solid 316L stainless steel pressure vessel has a fully fabricated jacket design to provide even heating and minimize the formation of condensation on the chamber interior. Steam activated gasket requires no lubrication and is warranted for 2 years. The vertical sliding door is fully automated. Unique piping rack consists of high quality, long-life components and offers easy service accessibility to all components and can be mounted on either side of the sterilizer to conserve floor space. An ultra-efficient two stage electric vacuum pump offers quick, consistent, deep vacuum capability and minimizes water usage. Evolution's PC control has a large 8.4 display with high resolution graphics and large countdown display. Built-in connectivity to instrument tracking and proactive remote monitoring is included.

Salient Characteristics

26x26x49 Evolution Prevac Steam Sterilizer, Vertical Sliding Door, Electric Steam Generator( space is limited at this facility) cannot except anything smaller because of height.

The Amsco Evolution steam sterilizer features a high capacity chamber that has been validated to sterilize up to 3 shelves of large instrument trays weighing up to 25lbs. each (300lbs total).

The solid 316L stainless steel pressure vessel has a fully fabricated jacket design to provide even heating and minimize the formation of condensation on the chamber interior.

Steam activated gasket requires no lubrication and is warranted for 2 years. The vertical sliding door is fully automated. (Door must be automated for safety purposes)

Connect Assure Data Export option enables one STERIS product to export data to a tracking system. (must be Connect Assure capable or something equivalent). Connect Assure is for data tracking. In the event of a positive biological this will aid in the recall of all items processed in that specific load.

AMSCO Evolution Interface kit that allows the sterilizer to talk on the Hospital's ethernet network. Kit enables, ProConnect Data Export and CS-iQ to communicate with the sterilizer. (Proconnect is for communication between hospital ethernet and sterilizer).

STERIS Secure Care SCALE BACK PRO Water Conditioning System Package is designed to improve water quality, extend the lifespan and maximize performance of your integral or stand-alone generator.

Deinstallation

STERIS will make all necessary utility disconnections (not applicable for Canada), remove and transport equipment to a predetermined location within same customer facility for pickup or disposal.

Equipment disposition from the staging point will be dependent upon Customer selection of disposal option. If removed equipment is to become STERIS property, it will be held on-site at the designated location for pickup by STERIS representative within a reasonable time, not to exceed five (5) working days.

Delivery

Vendor shall deliver all supplies 30 days after receipt of order.

Installation

STERIS installation includes all necessary labor (non-union) and materials required to uncrate, set-in place and assemble STERIS equipment. Price is for normal working hours, Monday Friday 8 am -5 pm unless otherwise noted.

STERIS also includes with its Installation Services an operational check-out test, any necessary adjustments and a demonstration of the equipment for appropriate facility personnel

Vendor will work with the VA POC to schedule the installation.

Disposal

STERIS personnel will determine the most efficient method of disposal including but not inclusive of pick up by STERIS carrier or removal by local scrapping entity. If deinstallation is not performed by STERIS personnel, Customer will decontaminate and move equipment to loading dock for pick up. Please note, disposal of Customer equipment implies Customer relinquishes ownership rights of disposed equipment.

Inspection

The VA Loma Linda POC will be performing inspections necessary to substantiate that the supplies furnished under this contract are not damaged and in good working condition. Any items found to be damaged and/or not in working condition, would be returned to the contractor and must be replaced in a timely manner.

Warranty

All supplies shall have standard warranty (Minimum of 2 years) starting from the first day of delivery.

Installation shall have standard warranty.

The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications.

(4) If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above (or equivalent product/solution), do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified?

(5) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number.

(6) If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or NASA SEWP contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract?

(7) Please provide general pricing for your products/solutions for market research purposes.

(8) Please submit your capabilities in regard to the salient characteristics being provided and any information pertaining to equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes?
