ITW 2023: Explore the benefits of CPTPP - Come and learn about Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia!
Wednesday 08 November at 9:00AM
As part of International Trade Week, join this session for an overview on what the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) means for you, and the growth of your business.
What you’ll learn
- key business opportunities for UK companies in Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia
- what the ascension to the CPTPP means for the potential growth of UK businesses
- the available DBT support for trading in these markets
Description
With UK exports to current CPTPP members forecast to increase 65% by 2030, this partnership offers huge potential for UK exporters. This is thanks to the fact that 99.9% of UK products will be eligible for tariff-free trade, with lower tariffs also secured for other exports, such as whisky and cars.
This session, delivered by the Department for Business and Trade's Export Support Service Team, will outline the benefits of UK’s accession to CPTPP, key business opportunities, and the support available for companies looking to trade with Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
